E. Scott Crist / Managing Partner

Scott is a founding partner at Texas Ventures, He was previously a managing director at Garage Tech Ventures in Silicon Valley, and prior to that, he was a successful entrepreneur, founding two technology companies and grew revenues to over $100 million each during the last decade. Scott is also a former Entrepreneur of the Year by CNN/ NASDAQ/ Ernst & Young.

Scott is on the Kellogg Alumni Advisory Board at Northwestern University and is an adjunct professor at the Jones Graduate MBA School at Rice University where he teaches entrepreneurship. In addition, Scott is chairman of the VA-Gov Housing fund, the nation’s largest lender for the Veteran Administration’s Homeless Shelter Program. In this capacity, he has raised and committed over $50 million to assist veterans undergoing transitional housing needs.

Originally from Virginia, Scott previously worked for Trammell Crow Group, IBM and Booz-Allen Hamilton. He has an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University.
